I had a lot of agency to tell the story of Cayuga, a training ground for circus performers, martial artists, aerialists, contortionists, burlesque dancers and other art forms. So I decided to tell the story as a series of vignettes where I focus on each artist for a minute or so. I felt this approach would allow me to go deep into the performer’s craft and their unique world view.
